Expert talk on “Programming with Pointers”

Computer Science & Engineering Department of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized an expert talk on “Programming with Pointers”. The speakers of the event was Dr. Reema Thareja, Professor Department of Computer Science, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College, University of Delhi.

The opening of the expert talk was made by welcoming Dr. Reema Thareja by Mr. Aditya Tyagi, AP-CSE, ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida. The expert started her talk with a briefing about the concept of pointers in C language and why pointers gained so much popularity in programming. This was followed by detailed discussion on usage and applications of pointers with hands-on experience. The comparative study helped the students to have a clear idea about how the programming languages differ from each other while dealing with pointers. She explained numerous benefits of pointers in C with live examples and hands on exercises.
She also elaborated various internship opportunities available for students.
At the end of session, an online quiz was conducted to assess the students and top five students received C & Python Programming books authored by Dr. Reema Thareja.
The expert talk was summarized by Dr. Ashish Kumar and also given vote of thanks on behalf of the Department.
