“Inner self empowerment is the key to unlock the spirits of social transformation”- Ms Pratima Bhaumik, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment

Gurugram, May 22: Celebrating India’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a two-day conference on “God’s Plan for Social Change” was hosted by the Social Service Wing of Brahma Kumaris at its Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC) here. The Conference concluded with the launch of this Social Change Campaign today to highlight the theme “how does God’s sovereignty and spiritual empowerment work together in divine salvation through self realization, kindness, and compassion and create beautiful societies for us.” This launch event was graced by the presence of Ms Pratima Bhoumik, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment along with H.E. Roger Gopaul, High Commissioner of The Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Mr Ashok Aggarwal, District Governor, Rotary International among others.
 
Launching this campaign and speaking on this occasion, Ms Pratima Bhaumik, mentioned the dire necessity of self realization and empowerment to instill a sense of inner peace and moral rectitude which is a rare phenomenon in the world today, and that can be experienced through the practice of spirituality at a deeper level and rajyoga meditation at any center of the Brahma kumaris. She further added, “Protecting your inner peace means maintaining a healthy environment for self-care, self-growth and the all-round societal prosperity at large to justify the objectives of planned transformation and lead this by example.” She thanked Brahma Kumaris for relentlessly working in the significant field of drug de-addiction all over India and invited their initiatives to be part of PM’s Jan Jagran Yojana to work alongside Govt of India’s vital drug de-addiction campaigns in a bid to develop peaceful and prosperous Bharat. She felicitated and honored a huge list of social service leaders, heads of NGOs and corona warriors with mementos and certificates on the stage.
 
Speaking about this campaign, Rajyogini B K Asha, Director, Brahma Kumaris ORC said that pure, positive, clean, healthy, happy and pragmatic thinking would always hold the key to seminal individual and collective social reforms. She stressed upon the best use of spiritual wisdom and practice of rajyoga meditation to raise quality of life and standards of living and celebrate the freedom from social evils. The Additional Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogi BK Brijmohan said that social service is natural to Indians and in India, being the land of tolerance, kindness and compassion, where character building of people through spiritual empowerment is sacrosanct to elevate the health, wealth and happiness index of the Indian society.
